DS106 Radio Show Reflection II

On Tuesday, I listed to the ds106 radio show called ‘Get a Clue.’ The radio show poster I saw weeks ago was so affective so I still remember and really wanted to listen to the show. The format of the show was really unique and professional. It was a flashback format┬áso the listeners were able to hear each character’s perspective. And one thing I really liked was each character had different background music for their monologue, which helped me to differentiate. Beside the different music background for each character, they have really effective sound effects which can grab listeners’ attentions and make the story line to be more dramatic.

During the break, they had unique bumper, which was an acapella radio bumper. Among the radio show I listened before, it was first time that I hear this style of the bumper. The music was soft and calm but the effectiveness was really strong and made me to concentrate to rest of the show.

It was really great experience to hear how other classmates did and what they did. These days, I kept thinking that I am stereotyped, but need to get out of the box the think bigger, deeper and different. By listening to others’ works and receiving various ideas, it would help me to break my own frame. Even though the ds106 radio ends this Thursday, I will keep looking classmates’ posts and make my thoughts wide and deep.

DS106 Radio Show Listen Along II

This week is last week of radio show. I wonder what I’m going to do at 9 o’clock without listening to ds106 radio. As same as last week, I participated on live twitter on Monday because I would probably won’t make it on Wednesday and Thursday radio shows. The radio show I listened was called ‘Inside Talking.’ When I see this title, I immediately remembered one of the logos I saw last week, when I looked through classmates works. It was talk show format and they used audience sound effect to give more reality to it. And I think they were succeed with it.

Here are the feedbacks I made during the radio show.

DS 106 Radio Listen Along

On Monday, I listened to ‘Noir We There Yet?’ and I participated on live twitter and shared feedback during the radio show.

It was really nice to hear how other classmate’s radio show. After I listened to first radio show, which was ‘House of Noir,’ I just kept listening and shared my thoughts on twitter. The one thing I still remember is that the McDonald commercial. The actors were really good at the acting and the vintage background music captured my mind. The combination of these two were really impactive. Since it was right after the spring break, there weren’t many participants, so I was able to focus on the radio show and did not have to share the focus on to the feedbacks on twitter. It was really great experiment, I can’t wait to hear the rest of the radio show on next week!
